Hi everyone, and welcome! My name is Sophia Korobkina, and I’m the founder of The Girls’ Guide to Finance, a blog I created with one big goal in mind: to make the world of business and finance accessible, empowering, and even fun for girls who are ready to take control of their futures. I know that money talk can sometimes feel confusing, overwhelming, or even intimidating, especially when it’s filled with jargon and assumptions that you already know what terms like “credit score” or “compound interest” mean. That’s why I started this space: to break things down in a way that’s clear, relatable, and actually makes sense for where you are right now.

Whether you’re just starting to explore what finance is, thinking about how to manage your allowance or part-time job earnings, or already dreaming of building your own business someday, this blog is designed to meet you where you are and help you grow. We’ll cover everything from simple budgeting tricks and saving strategies to understanding how banks work, how to invest, and what it really means to be financially independent. I’ll also be sharing real-life stories, helpful tools, and creative ideas to make learning about money feel less like a chore and more like an exciting life skill.

You can expect new posts every week or two, so I encourage you to check in regularly and follow along. With the first of many being published this Saturday. This is meant to be a supportive, encouraging community where you can learn, ask questions, and feel inspired to take charge of your own path. I’m truly so excited to have you here. If you ever have questions, want to suggest a topic, or just want to say hi, feel free to reach out through the contact page. I’d absolutely love to hear from you and promise to respond as soon as I can!

Best,

Sophia
